Writer, Editor, and Proof Reader for Creative and Academic Texts

I work on academic text, historical information, travel blurbs, how-to articles, and creative pieces. I'm a native English speaker who loves the written word, obsesses over details of spelling, grammar, syntax, and punctuation, as well as how the finished piece sounds when read aloud. I don't just look at grammar, spelling, syntax, and punctuation, however. I also consider a text's readability, consistency, coherency, smoothness, logic, and flow. I also excel in proof-reading and editing. Having lived, studied, and worked in the US and Britain, I've mastered British and American spelling and punctuation. When editing, I do my best to maintain the author's tone of voice unless given leeway to do otherwise. While my experience lies in sales, sales training, marketing, and management, it's creative writing that I'm most passionate about. I'm also stickler for deadlines, and have excellent time management skills.
